Bijou

Warning- cuteness overload here! Hello, let me introduce myself. Im Bijou Smudge. I was born on April 21st, 2022. Im the tiniest of four and I like to think the cutest! My foster mom says I have the cutest tan “smudge” on my nose. She tells me all the time that Im gorgeous and gives me kisses on my noggin. I can be very unsure of loud noises and new places. Im tiny so everything seems unsure until I get time to investigate it. Once Im used to my area and humans though I am a huge loyal cuddle bug! I absolutely love touching my wet tiny nose to my humans nose. It makes me purr very loudly and knead my paws. I enjoy a warm lap and tons of scratches! I even like my cute soft belly rubbed. Toys make me so happy and I can show off my hunting skills! Im rather skilled with my stuffed mice toys. Im not a kid who meows. I prefer to be cute and squeak if Im wanting attention. If I’m startled though I try to be brave and hiss..but I just try to act tough. Im a super soft and sweet girl. I wouldn’t do well in a home w/children or loud noises. I do like the company of other cats though! My foster mom thinks I’m a tiny little Angel. I am a very good lil girl w/my litter box and eating also. I cant wait to get a home n human lap of my own. Come meet me and fall in love w/my cuteness!

How to adopt:
1. First step is to fill out a Pre-Adoption Application by applying online @ www.helpingpawsofsmn.org.
2. Once your application is submitted, please allow us time to review and we will contact you as soon as possible with any questions regarding your application and status.
3. Once your application is approved we will set up an appointment for a meet and greet with interested available animal. Please bring all family members especially children. Virtual options are available!
4. After the meet and greet we will schedule and complete a virtual home visit.
5. Finalizing the adoption: This includes paying the adoption fee +tax  and sending home medical documents with the adopted animal.

We ask that you allow at least a month for your new pet to adjust and decompress to their new home. During this time we will provide one on one counseling to make sure the proper steps are taken to allow for a successful transition. If for whatever reason you need to return your newly adopted pet we will allow a 7 day grace period for full refund on the adoption fee once the animal is returned to our care. After the 7 day grace period adoption fees are non-refundable.

We take finding the best homes for our kitties very seriously as they deserve nothing but the best! Please allow a week for applications to be processed as we are all volunteers working as fast as we can.

If you have any questions on a specific animal don’t hesitate to send us an email @ helpingpawsofso.mn@yahoo.com. We can also help with finding a match for something specific you had in mind!
